I usually get through writing a post like this and just delete it, but I'm trying to go through with it just so I can get some additional insight into other manaless dredge players thoughts or players that seem to play against it regularly.Įdit: Gonna post the tapped out link of my deck list as I have it now. I'm a magic player with severe ADHD and I obsess over these things, so if this all seems long-winded and scatterbrained, I'm sorry. After that I've been known as the "gimmick deck guy". When I showed him, he just said, "It sounds like a gimmicky deck that doesn't do anything." I then built the deck and put out enough power on turn two for a turn three kill. When I first explained the deck to a friend who had been playing for around 15 years at the time he didn't believe me. I love it because it takes what even experienced players know about magic and it flips it around. I don't play it because of that, I play it because it's unique. However, there is enough hate to shut it out almost completely. I know dredge is and can be very degenerate. How is dredge, manaless or otherwise, positioned in the meta game currently? Is it a problem? Is it favored against anything in particular at the moment? Does it have any severe weaknesses or hindrances currently? If I'm low enough in my library and I know I can empty it, I go for it and since it's etb doesn't care how it enters or if it dies, I can squeak out a win. Once Upon a Time - I've seen this more often than not in manaless dredge to either grab a dredge on t1 or to dig for a street wraith to dredge on our opponents turn. I like it as a one of since sometimes I can power it out on t2 or t3. Hogaak - another card people are either for entirely or against. I like it since I know how grindy dredge can be and the life gain is really nice. New tech questions: Creeping Chill - people either love or hate this card in dredge. Whirlpool Rider - why do people prefer balustrade spy over this card? Wouldn't the ability to draw cards in dredge be better if you're looking for an answer than just milling your deck? Gigapede - why do I see lists still run 1 of this card? Is there something I'm missing about it? The old tech I have questions on are: Vine Dryad - is it good to run if you're running more than 10 green cards? Is it better than nether shadow?
